December 17, 2022

Hello Jack Stuart School Families,

Due to the severe weather forecasted in Camrose this coming week, and with student, parent/guardian and guest safety foremost in mind, we have made the decision to move all our Christmas concerts (the Grade 1-5 concert @ 1:30 pm, our Early Learning...pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten concert @ 4 pm, and the Grade 1-5 concert @ 7 pm) to Monday, December 19, 2022 (at the same times). As the temperature drops and the forecast continues to change, we are making an educated guess that Tuesday, December 20, 2022 would not be a viable option for our JSS concerts.

We understand this change is last minute, however JSS has decided to act with this alternate plan.

If the BRSD school buses (which includes our handivan) are unable to run in the morning on Monday, December 19, 2022, we are not able to have a school concert outside of school timeAt that point ... a) we would only move forward with our Grade 1 to 5 Christmas concert @ 1:30 pm. Guests would be welcome, that performance would be recorded, and the recording would be made available to you. b) Our Early Learning Christmas concert (pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten) would no longer take place @ 4 pm, but a recording of their performance would be made available to parents. c) And finally, if the school buses do not run that day, the evening Grade 1 to 5 Christmas concert would no longer take place.

It is important to understand that Monday, December 19, 2022 will be our only option to host out Christmas concerts this year. If we are unable to perform on Monday because of the weather (or otherwise), we will not be able to host our Christmas concerts the year.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but unfortunately the weather is out of all our hands.

Jack Stuart School
